Estamos orgullosos de poder ofrecer este nuevo curso como parte de nuestro compromiso de preservar y poner de relieve las lenguas en peligro de extinción. Alrededor de 1,2 millones de personas están familiarizadas con la lengua irlandesa en todo el mundo, pero en un censo reciente, tan solo 78.000 hablantes nativos reconocen hablar la lengua a diario. Es crucial que trabajemos para preservar esta lengua y celebrar su identidad cultural única.
Nuestro nuevo curso de irlandés también se encuentra en consonancia con los esfuerzos realizados en Irlanda para revitalizar el idioma. En Irlanda, el irlandés gaélico se enseña como asignatura obligatoria en todas las escuelas. El gobierno irlandés, a su vez, se ha fijado el objetivo de que el 20% de los empleados públicos dominen el irlandés para 2030.
