You can choose between Matchmaking or Hosted multiplayer games. Matchmaking connects you with up to six other Drops users from around the world, while Hosted games let you create your own learning session and invite friends, colleagues, or students to join the fun.
Multiplayer sessions include a two-part challenge: Learning Showdown, where you race to learn six new words, followed by Review Rush, a fast-paced review round to test your accuracy and speed, all tracked on a live leaderboard.
Multiplayer is free for all users! However, Drops Premium users get the full experience by unlocking the entire topic library when choosing a topic for their hosted sessions.
Download the Drops app or ensure you have the latest version, then go to the Multiplayer tab. From there, you can join a session directly or host your own to invite friends, students, or colleagues.
