Drops, a Kahoot! company and a leading language-learning app, has announced the release of the Galician Language course to its platform on 17th May 2023. The new Galician language course will allow learners from all over the world to learn more about the Galician culture and connect with the millions of people around the world who claim Galician descent.
The new Galician language course includes more than 500 words and phrases for both beginners and intermediate learners in addition to culturally-specific topics to help users learn about Galician culture. The course was created in collaboration with native speakers, including Drops’ own Language Content Manager, who is from Vigo, Galicia.

Galician is a minority language with 2.4 million speakers worldwide, primarily in Spain and Portugal. This is why preserving the Galician language is crucial, and why Drops has made this new course a priority.
The Galician government and language institutions from Galicia aim to promote the use of the Galician language in public life and increase the number of speakers. The new Drops Galician language course is an important step towards achieving this goal, providing an accessible and effective way for anyone interested in learning Galician to improve their language skills and contribute to the revitalization of this important part of Galician culture.
